There are few bands more iconic than the Manic Street Preachers. The Welsh rockers emerged in the early nineties with a unique Goth-Glam look entirely of their own creation - luckily they had the tunes to back up their bold image. The Manics are now a little older and wiser and are releasing a new album on the 18th of May, entitled 'Journal for Plague Lovers'. Including lyrics constructed from missing band member Richey Edwards (and produced by notorious lo-fi afficionado Steve Albini), the album is said to echo their hard-listening-but-classic 'The Holy Bible'. We can't wait to hear it.
In the meantime, let's look at some classic Manic Street Preachers
style from years gone by..........Head over to thisisyesterday for some
more great images of the band.
